Message from the Chair
Thank you for visiting the Employment Round Table of Southern California’s website.
The Employment Round Table of Southern California (ERTSC) works in partnership with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) to create an awareness of the problems of discrimination, harassment and retaliation in employment along with the obligations of employers and employees with regard to family and medical leave and religious and disability accommodation. ERTSC is composed of volunteers from public and private employers, labor organizations, and attorneys from both the plaintiff and management bars.
The goal of ERTSC is to reduce discrimination, increase compliance with equal employment opportunity laws and otherwise promote equal opportunity at work. The specific objectives of ERTSC are to:
- Enhance communications between the DFEH and the public.
- Provide forums that promote education, advocacy and the understanding of anti-discrimination laws and practices.
- Initiate cooperative programs that preserve civil rights and expand equal opportunity in employment.
We hope our resources will support the role you play within your organization to create and champion diverse and inclusive workplaces which are free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. The Board of Directors and I work tirelessly to bring you value through our educational programs. Furthermore, we aim to offer you the opportunity to network with other top professionals charged with equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion compliance.
